A technology developed at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) uses a technique to help scientists improve weather forecasts, monitor climate change, and enhance space weather research. JPL turned to Tempe, Arizona-based Broad Reach Engineering Company to produce the receivers. The company licensed the technology and then commercialized it for Earth science use by NASA and international organizations.
